The Bahria Town Karachi was part of something big, something fruitful, maybe something hopeful? We never saw anything like what Bahria Town Karachi was providing its residence. The variance in utilities and facilities between Bahria Town Karachi and other parts of Karachi including other societies is much bigger than what you would expect.

All of it would turn to dust!

The Difference, the higher living standards, the uniqueness, and the extensive use of technology made Bahria Town Karachi much better and much secure to be in. Until June 6th when mislead people decided to take the matter into their own hands.

Bahria Town was breached and it’s no different than what we have been seeing in Karachi throughout for the past 30-40 years. The years of shame and violence. The years of regret and the years of complete regress.

What Bahria Town Karachi saw was no different from what was already happening, we just turned our attention away from it. Call it whatever you want. It’s all politics. Bahria Town was land grabbed? Politics. Bahria Town wanted this attack to happen? Politics. Bahria couldn’t be bothered to face cases against them and are running away? Again politics!

The M9 Motorway holds a key position in all of this. It’s synonyms to Gawader for China and the rest of the world. The M9 Motorway joins Karachi and Hyderabad. And That’s not all. The land was dangerous and barren. Now we can see societies and fellow humans settle there.

Investment, Security for greater Societies

The investments in Bahria Town and other societies are not mere shows. They hold a value, over 1500 million Rupees of Investment is recorded whereas over $62 Billion has been invested by China on CPEC alone. These investments alone would uplift the real estate industry especially the Real Estate Companies, Agencies, Industry itself, and Construction industry of Karachi.

The Matter at hand is how to make such investment secure and safe. The police of the Sindh Government can not make great claims over their feat in handling the Bahria Town protest incidents.

This leaves the credibility of Sindh police at stake and most importantly how would the other societies be able to tackle the looming threat of violent attacks?

Smaller societies like these which are in total 37 in strength. Other bigger societies that are larger in scale and investment value are Bahria Town ASF and DHA.

The Bahria Town Karachi was built by a private builder Malik Riaz and naturally, the security of this society is granted by the Sindh government through Sindh Police. On the Other hand, the ASF and DHA are not private builders. Their Security is much better and secure then that of Sindh Police. The ASF is under the protection of Airport Security Forces and DHA is under the name of the Army thus their protection is much greater.

The Investment scale is in favor of Bahria Town regardless of the security situation all of these have. The people who invested in Bahria Town valued their returns, the facilities and utilities, and lastly all the amenities in Bahria.

The security features are to be improved. A mass of manipulated individuals can carry a punch, and we have seen that in the case of Bahira Town Karachi Attack or if you call it Bahria Town main gate attack. The Sindh Police may be resilient but even they can not hold thousands of people back.

Final: The Truths and lies in the Politics

How people can be deceived and used is alarming. If anything it threatens the state of Pakistan itself. We are short-handed when it comes to investment in our assets. The Foreign Investment can be hopeful but even CPEC can be accounted for nothing if the security gets underhanded and violently targeted by such a group of people. This has to stop.

What must be called for is to draw a line! A line between protest and violence. Protest is a legal right however, anything beyond that is a violation of laws. That’s a crime. On the other hand, Not giving any lawful attention and action is also a crime. More appropriately a criminal negligence on a government scale. Any negligence at that stage should be dealt with as soon as possible.
