Will people get plot or refund in Fazaia Housing Scheme?

People protested against Fazaia on Shahrah-e-Faisal Karachi on Monday 18th November, 2019. The situation aroused when venture of Fazaia Housing Bungalows caught by NAB for the investigation. Fazaia said before 6 months that auditing process is continued but verdict are not perceptible.

Civilians are complaining that they have submitted enough amount of investment with the project of Fazaia but now they are not accepting more payments nor they are proceeding with the construction of Fazaia.  Overseas Pakistanis are also concerned with this issue.

Investors say, we believe in Fazaia that is why we have done investment with them. Although we had many better options to invest but we invested in Fazaia Housing Scheme because of the name of institution of Fazaia. Fazaia should not break the trust of the citizen.

Spokesperson to the Fazaia housing scheme came forward in response to the protest of investors. He said that after declaration of the fraud by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), people are afraid that investment has been stuck but Fazaia told you that auditing with ventures is continued. Protestors argued that this process is going on from last six months, why don’t you apprehend the accused persons. Spokesperson said process of accusing the fraudulent party is lengthy. We are auditing ventures to receive al the details of documentations. CNICs of investors, contact information and payment details all are within the hands of other party.

Protestors are still asking the refund of investment. But some of them are also saying that Pakistani Rupee has devalued in these 4 years with massively. So, not giving plots will be injustice.

According to Property Analysts, mega projects usually evolve with such strategic schemes. In these mega projects, common citizens are encouraged to apply but after development of the society, project builders do not give plots to the citizens and announce fraudulent like this. But common builders cannot be affected with such issues. However, it is the name of Fazaia, which is one of the defensive authorities in Pakistan and nation has proud on it. Whatever, the technical issues Fazaia is having, they should resolve it on the priority basis.

Our government should be involved in this matter so that name of Fazaia would not misuse in this matter. Prime Minister, Chief Justice of Pakistan and National Accountability Bureau have to take action and provide justice to the citizen.
