    Bahria Town Karachi has been one of the most successful projects in recent years in terms of real estate and providing a very positive environment for people to invest in. However, in recent times Bahria Town has imposed a new set of charges on its customers, which does not have an outstanding impact on the real estate market.

    • Bahria Town Karachi has now imposed residential costs for its customers after imposing possession charges on plots for sale in Karachi when they are handing over possession to their customers.
    • As a reference, a customer received a letter via TCS that stated about the payment of a sum of 6lac for a 125-yard plot in precinct 15-A.
    • These charges are set to be payable after 15 February 2020 in the form of installments or full payment as per the choice of customers.

    THE AFTER EFFECT OF THE SITUATION IS BASED ON MIXED RESPONSES

    Its after-effects are bizarre as the overall real estate business Karachi is facing a situation of panic. It is not a piece of very positive news from the management of Bahria Town Karachi to suddenly impose such an amount on its customers without mentioning it earlier.

    PREVIOUS PAYMENTS

    According to the payment statements that have been done to Bahria town by customers, development charges and cost of land have already been charged for by the management.

    • The management has already taken payments for the developments of roads, water supply sewerage system charges, etc. as per the terms and conditions.
    • Charges for utility and possession charges were to be taken later by the management once the possession is given if you buy plot in Karachi.

    CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

    Customer feedback is terrible as they were not expecting such substantial charges at such short notice. They do not seem to be avoidable, and the graph is steeping lower and lower in price terms for the real estate market nowadays.

    • The aftermath of this does not seem to look suitable for Bahria Town. Instead, if giving a welcoming behavior to its customers after so many years of investing in Bahria Town, new charges imposed on customers that were not talked about before.
    • Customers who have their property in the project seem to be very tensed, whether they are overseas or here in Pakistan.

    BAHRIA’S TERMS

    Some conditions have stated in their terms that Bahria Town Karachi will also charge non construction charges if you don’t construct on your property after being handed over its possession by the project management.

    Everyone has an individual opinion about this ongoing process, and it is best to look for the best solution put into it. The public is looking forward to protesting about these changes in policy, and they are hoping for a positive response from the management of Bahria Town Karachi.
